The welcoming proprietors, Anne and Lyle Taggart, pride themselves on their continually high standards of customer service and attention to detail, which ensure that each and every guest has as enjoyable a stay as possible. This is reflected by the constantly high numbers of repeat guests and a visitors comment book to dream about. Its prominent position on the main street facing the Atlantic Ocean provides easy access to the surrounding tourist attractions of The Giants Causeway, Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge, Bushmills Distillery and The Glens of Antrim, to name a few. Many activities are available close to the village of Ballintoy, including fishing golfing, walking and hiking, cycling routes and hire, water sports and horse riding. A private car park is situated at the rear of the building for the use of all patrons. Additionally, there is also the provision of a relaxing beer garden positioned at the back of the car park, which also boasts exceptional barbecue facilities for those warm summer evenings. The Fullerton Bar encapsulates the essence of Old World charm. The fixtures and fittings combine with local personalities to create an ambience and atmosphere typical of quality Irish hospitality. Guests may be entertained by Paddy and Jimmy on weekday evenings, providing a range of traditional, folk and country music and accompanied by a display of Irish dancing. Whereas at the weekends, live bands play in the bar, suiting a wide range of musical tastes, from contemporary to modern. However, for those who prefer something different, the pool room adjacent to the bar encompasses a dart board and pool table. On the other hand, visitors should not miss the opportunity to sample one of the finest pints of Guinness in the North, highly esteemed by local clientele, although, a wide range of other draft and bottle drinks are also available. The Fullerton Restaurant has recently been refurbished, extended, and improved to comfortably accommodate up to 100 persons, for weddings, conferences and special occasions. A High Tea menu operates all year around, whilst guests also have the opportunity to sample our table d'hote menu for a set price. A Sunday lunch special is also highly popular at only 10.95 GBP for four courses, comprising of traditional dishes such as turkey and ham and chicken bushmills. Furthermore, we realise that food tastes are changing and therefore every effort is made to always have at least two vegetarian specials.
