Allerdale Court Hotel
| Location: Cockermouth
| 2 stars |
Aprox Price: 68.0 Pounds
 | The hotel is a listed building of some architectural interest. Dating back to the 17th Century, the most famous mutineer in history, Fletcher Christian, after seeing his crewmates slain by Tahitian natives was said to have escaped on a ship with one Captain Folger and returned to Cockermouth. Rumour has it that he returned to the house that is now The Allerdale Court Hotel. Now family owned and run, we pride ourselves on the warm hospitality, good food and the constant attention to detail that are the hallmarks of The Allerdale Court's friendly and dedicated staff. We have 24 en-suite bedrooms (all with colour TV, radio, telephone and hospitality tray). Dining at The Allerdale Court is an important part of any guest's stay and it is not by chance that both of our two restaurants have earned fine reputations both locally and nationally. Both restaurants offer superb freshly cooked food, and plenty of it, served with smiling experience to your table. The traditional Pickwick is a flambé restaurant while Oscars, a Latin themed restaurant, is a busy, fashionable night time venue with plenty of grills, steaks, fish and specialities. To complement both restaurants, our bar offers the full range of wines, ales and spirits that you would expect to find in a Lakeland hostelry. A traditional Lakeland welcome awaits you and open fire and original oak beams help to create a relaxing atmosphere. Unfortunately the hotel does not have a lift. | Closer look / Book ... |
